Buying white wine

White wine is usually made from white (i.e. greenish-yellow) grapes. In contrast to red wine production, contact with the skins is rather brief (or not at all if the must is pressed immediately). The fermentation temperature is also significantly cooler and ageing in wood is less common.

Our range includes a whole series of white varieties - from Albarino to Zibbibo.

If red wine grapes are pressed without skin contact before fermentation, they can be used to make white wine with a hint of rosé colour, which nevertheless has a little more structure and body due to the dark grapes. These wines are called Blanc de Noirs - White from black grapes.
