Producer: Tenuta Roveglia
Grape variety: 100% Trebbiano di Lugana (Turbina), hand-picked, dry, vines over 55 years old, late harvest at the beginning of October
Soil: Calcareous clay, rich in minerals
Vinification: Selection of the grapes. Gentle pressing of the undamaged berries with a maximum juice yield of 60%, temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing in stainless steel tanks, maturation for 24 months in stainless steel tanks + 6 months in the bottle
A Lugana with such a strong character that you wouldn't immediately think of Trebbiano. Carefully selected grapes from vines over 55 years old produce strength, roundness and velvety texture. Ripe yellow fruit, peach and quince, caramelised hazelnuts and a good melt on the palate harmonise wonderfully.
A great wine that is very versatile due to its structure - excellent with risotto with scallops!
