Origin: Italy, South Tyrol, Unteraicha, municipality of Völs am Schlern, 590 - 630 m above sea level
Winemaker: Tiefenbrunn Castle Winery Turmhof
Grape varieties: 100% Sauvignon Blanc, dry
Soil: Grey porphyry, sand, lots of salt
Ageing: 12 months: 25% in new tonneaux, 75% in large wooden barrels, + 6 months ageing in stainless steel, + 12 months ageing in the bottle, no BSA
Only fully ripe grapes are harvested for this elegant Sauvignon Blanc, making it complex, expressive, mineral, with notes of flint, graphite, dried hay, exotic fruits, a powerful acidity and a juicy, salty finish
