Tesch Winery - Nahe
90% of the 25 hectares are planted with Riesling, the rest with Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir.
Most of the vines are over 50 years old, which ensures low yields but all the more extract-rich, expressive wines. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. All wines are vinified dry and have pleasing alcohol levels of only 11.5-12.5%.
The vineyards are cultivated organically, without the use of herbicides, insecticides or artificial fertilisers, which keeps them in balance and makes the wines more complex, full-bodied and long-lasting. They often develop their greatest potential after five to eight years in the bottle. Click here for the wines from Tesch Winery.
