La Tordera - the thrush. A bird that used to steal the last grapes in the vineyards, but also the nickname for the children when they themselves snacked on too many grapes during the harvest. These children have long since followed in the footsteps of their parents and grandparents and now run the winery in the heart of Valdobbiadene, where the first rows of vines were planted on the Cartizze hill more than 100 years ago. Today, the winery is designed for sustainability: from natural yeasts that lead to reduced sulphurisation, to light-weight bottles made from 80% recycled glass, to a photovoltaic roof that supplies the winery with all its energy.
