Coffee specialities imported directly from small farms

After a real estate magnate unfortunately caused the premature demise of our partner emilo Kaffee in Munich, we are delighted to have found another great roastery:

Wildkaffee from a small family roastery in Farchant, honoured as Coffee Roaster 2023!

The company dates back to 1892, when Hardi Wild's great-grandfather also traded in coffee from a roastery in Hamburg in his grocery shop in Garmisch. Still a rarity back then!

Today, he and his wife Stefanie run the small, fine roastery in Farchant together with 6 employees. The special thing about the company is the long-standing personal relationships with the individual farmers and plantations. Hardi Wild and his staff regularly travel to the various growing regions around the coffee belt: Brazil, El Salvador, Colombia, India ...

Partnership on an equal footing and natural cultivation are important to them. As a matter of principle, chemical fertilisers are not used and the coffee plantations are cultivated biodynamically using compost and minerals. This means that the coffee tastes slightly different from year to year - almost like wine!
