Origin: Italy, Kaltern location Puiten and Barleit, 500m above sea level
Producer: Thomas Pichler
Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc, dry, hand-picked, 20-year-old vines
Vinification: gentle pressing, 70% in used, small wooden barrels + 30% in stainless steel, partly BSA, 9 months battonage on the fine lees
Elegant, multi-layered white wine, with varietal aromas as well as passion fruit, roasted hazelnut and dried apricot, salty, mineral and balanced on the palate
Delicious with asparagus or mushroom risotto
