Sauvignon Blanc 2021 BIO Riedingerhof
Description
Sauvignon Blanc IGT
White wine
Origin: Italy, South Tyrol, 2 vineyards: Merano Winkelweg (400 metres above sea level) and Merano Hofstelle (480 metres above sea level)
Producer: Riedingerhof
Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc, hand-picked, 2 harvests on the same vine at the beginning and end of September
Vinification: 3 days fermentation on the skins, gentle pressing, spontaneous fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts 70% in steel barrels and 30% in old tonneaux barrels, further bottle ageing for 11 months, unfined and unfiltered
Everything here is very fresh, elegant and restrained. Especially for the highly aromatic Sauvignon Blanc grape variety, this wine comes with a wonderfully subtle acidity, fine flavours of pineapple, pomelo, elderberry and fresh hay. Precise on the palate with a lightness, beautifully juicy and lively, marvellous minerality and roundness.
Solo as an aperitif with white meat and fish dishes
