Grape variety: 100% Sangiovese Grosso, dry, hand-picked
Soil: Red clay soil with lots of iron
Ageing: 12 months in Slovenian large wood + 6 months bottle ageing
The grapes for the Rosso di Monatlcino come from younger vineyards, giving it fresh primary aromas: red fruits, violets, blackberries and plums, balanced and dry on the palate with lots of flavour, round tannins, powerful.
A perfect accompaniment to braised rabbit in tomato sauce.
