About the 2019 vintage:
The 2019 harvest was reminiscent of the great vintages of the 1980s. This was a "classic" year where nature and culture came together to create something truly exceptional. Winter temperatures were below average and rainfall was low, and the weather was unusually warm at the end of February. However, stormy squalls in spring and late summer replenished the water table and made up for the lack of winter precipitation. The summer was hot throughout, but without extreme temperatures or excessive rainfall. September continued to be good, with significant fluctuations in daily temperatures, and no pathogens affected the excellent health of the grapes. The bud fertility was within the normal range and the good condition of the leaves showed how balanced the plants were in this extremely beautiful year.at harvest time, the grapes were perfect thanks to the prevailing climatic conditions and the defoliation in early September. Both factors contributed to the optimal ripening of all the grapes in our various production areas.
