About the 2018 vintage:

The 2018 vintage was characterised by a dynamic winter with northerly winds in December and February and a mild climate in January with abundant rainfall, both snow and rain, which made up for the serious water deficit of previous years. Spring brought temperatures above the seasonal average and plenty of rainfall. Budding was early but did not cause any problems.

Temperatures began to rise again from 10 June and the summer in the Chianti Classico region was good with even rainfall. The months of July and August were as usual, while September was characterised by a series of sunny days with large temperature variations between day and night, which allowed the grapes to reach the right phenolic and aromatic ripeness. In short, this harvest was very satisfactory in terms of both quantity and, above all, quality.
