Origin: Italy, Tuscany, Castelnuovo dell'Abate, single vineyard "Duelecci", 280 - 350 m above sea level
Producer: Tenuta di Sesta
Grape variety: 100% Sangiovese Grosso, dry, hand-picked
Soil: The vineyard is divided into west (OVEST) and east (EST) sites: Barren gravel-rock soils in the east for cooler summers, nutrient- and iron-rich clay soils in the west for hot summers - each year the better site is chosen and labelled.
Ageing: approx. 40 months in Slovenian large wood + 12 months bottle ageing - deliberate avoidance of barriques
From the single vineyard "Duelecci", reduced yield, several vintages
Complex, broad aroma profile: ripe wild berries, jam, earth, mushrooms, multi-layered, powerful, continues to develop in the glass
With saddle of venison or bistecca alla fiorentina
Only 3000 bottles produced
Alcohol: 14.5%
