Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva "Scajari" DOCG
Origin: Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella, 400 - 550 m above sea level
Winemaker: Gini Tenuta Scajari
Grape variety: 60% Corvina, 25% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella, 5% Oseleta hand-picked, dry
Soil: Limestone-clay volcanic rock
Vinification: drying of the grapes for 4 months, open maceration with skins 2x daily pumping over, BSA, long fine lees ageing, 4 years maturation in stainless steel, 25hl wood + barrique, unfiltered
Notes of red fruit: Black cherry, plum, spicy: cocoa, liquorice, tobacco, mineral, very structured, incredibly dense, intense, warm and elegant, round overall picture with a clear finish.
Very good ageing potential!
