Zisola
The Mazzei family themselves refer to the estate in the south-east of Sicily, near the small town of Noto, as the Garden of Eden.
In addition to wine, citrus fruits, almonds and olives are also grown here on a total of 50 hectares.
The vines all grow in the traditional Albarello style (also known as Bush Vine or Gobelet), which has proven itself for centuries in the hot climate. Due to the slightly elevated position and the cooling influence of the sea winds, the wonderfully complex wines are made from the traditional grape varieties Nero d'Avola, Grillo and Syrah.
