Salcheto - Tuscany
The Salcheto winery in Montepulciano combines tradition with modernity in a way that only a few companies can. This is symbolised by the logo, which shows the willow (Salco) and a hand firmly anchored in the ground. Michele Manelli has been at the helm of the company since 1997 and has characterised it with an uncompromising vision:
Wines characterised by terroir, completely without sulphites and fermented only with the vine's own yeasts; an "off-grid" winery that operates without external electricity, specially designed extra-light bottles and an environmental management model that enables the winery to measure and constantly reduce its water and CO2 footprint.
