The Sorentberg Riesling is a very special project: a joint venture between two young winemakers - Julius Treis from the Moselle and Ivan Giovanett from Neumarkt in South Tyrol. They met while studying in Geisenheim and now both work in their parents' wineries, but with Sorentberg they have jointly fulfilled their dream of Riesling perfection. Not only is the soil profile of red slate with shell inclusions an absolute rarity, but the recultivated vineyard with particularly old vines is also unique.
