Life simply writes the best stories! A clever woman, Margarethe, is sent to Italy in the 1960s for further cultural training after completing her economics degree. And it comes as it had to, boy meets girl... The two of them ran a typical mixed farm with wheat, olives, chickens, horses and also some wine. But the Signora would not be the Signora if she had not recognised the potential to establish a DOC from simple country wine with diligence, dedication and persuasion - similar to her friend, Mrs Lungarotti...

Today, her daughter continues to run the 9-hectare vineyard with the same commitment to quality, and almost all the wines are now produced organically. Her husband is also dedicated to producing the farm's own olive oil from an aromatic blend of Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo dolce olives.
