Belguardo
Behind Grosseto, in the Maremma region, which has become famous since the 1980s, lies the Belguardo vineyard owned by the Mazzei family - today one of the most important vineyards in the region.
Embedded in a total of 80 hectares, the 34 hectares of vineyards are located at only around 100-180 metres above sea level. The soils here are poor and predominantly Alberese, a typical local sandstone with a high limestone content. The winds from the Tyrrhenian Sea contribute to the special climate, ensuring good ventilation and coolness - ideal conditions for wines full of elegance and character.
